We wrapped up 2017 KOTM over the weekend by distributing various school supplies, slippers, snacks, a tarpaulin tent, paints, used shoes and clothes, electrical supplies, funds for concrete fence, cement, medicines, portable generator sets, and even a computer set to the Kayapa Police Station. We have also adopted two underprivileged but deserving college students taking up teaching courses as our scholars, hoping they would someday graduate and give back to their own communities.
In all, we served close to 2,600 students from daycare, elementary to high school in Kayapa/Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya, Bokod/Itogon/Kabayan, Benguet, and Tinoc, Ifugao. The beneficiaries not only come from thirty far-flung upland schools spread along our race routes but also from out of the way centers who need help just the same.
We wish to thank all the participants of this season, our charity partner, Climb Against Cancer Pilipinas, and our generous sponsors led by CONDURA, Black Pencil Project, K3F Enterprises, DigitalMaas, Complete Business Online, and all the private donors who took heed of our request for assistance.
We also would like to make special mention of the Philippine Dragonboat Rowing Team Fireblades and Attorney George Ventayen, for helping KOTM with their immense support and contributions.
Please continue supporting us as we reach out to our children and beneficiaries.
It warms our hearts to know that there is so much kindness that abounds even in the midst of these troubling times.
May God bless all of you helping hands and generous hearts.
